After long careers in the City, we decided to create a business focused on our beautiful property – Wickham House. It had always struck us that it would be an amazing place for offsite meetings, with spectacular surroundings it offers delegates the perfect opportunity to get away from the office to think, strategise, develop themselves, bond or seal deals.

Having looked for corporate venues for ourselves in the past, we were frustrated to find most venues were rigid, lacked privacy, character and simple pleasures. We believed that we could build something that would provide the ideal venue for such events.  Given our backgrounds, we knew the importance of creating a private environment, which would be conducive to effective decision-making.  The idea of the Barn was conceived.

The house itself provides the wonderful and elegant backdrop for so much of what we do here at Wickham. Formerly the rectory, it was built in the late 18th century but was substantially remodelled around 1850 adding some unique Gothic stone ornamentation.  It is grand, but not overwhelmingly so, and every inch of it is lived in. 

Over the years we have improved and expanded the property, making a diverse and interesting setting for those looking for a special venue with a difference.  Everything we have built has been finished to the highest standard.  We believe that the combination of its sensational setting, beautiful filming locations, excellent facilities and our willingness to tailor the venue to your wishes, makes Wickham House a fantastic option for a traditional or alternative corporate event.
