the barn
Built in 2014 and designed by a top London architect, the Barn provides the ideal space for corporate parties, meetings, retreats, lunch parties, small wedding receptions for up to 30, talks, or as an indoor photoshoot location.
Its 100 sq m of ‘social’ floor space is comprised of one large room with a dining area (seating up to 24), a sitting area around a raised open log fire, a full scale cocktail bar and an open/standing area.
Capacity and Info PDF – The Barn
If dancing is required following a sit-down dinner for 24, the table will be left in place but the sofas normally grouped around the fire will be re-set around the walls of the barn, creating a very nice dance-floor.
If the Barn is used for a drinks party or bowl (standing) supper party, the sitting area is dismantled, the dining table shrunk to minimum. Space for 70-80 people.
For a presentation which requires theatre style seating, all furniture would be removed. Space for 120 chairs.
A balconied mezzanine floor provides additional space that can be configured according to the occasion.
The Barn is equipped with a state of the art audio-visual system and office presentation systems. It also has a regularly-tuned, good quality upright piano.
The kitchen is designed as a professional catering kitchen, and top-of-the-range crockery, glassware and table linen is provided.
Shower and loos are downstairs, with a further disabled loo at ground level.
The Pavilion / Walled Garden
Bisecting the wall around our stunning Walled Garden, the Pavilion is built in the style of a Mediterranean villa.
On one side there is the swimming pool, and on the other, the tennis court.
As part of our Corporate Hospitality offering, the Pavilion is available either as a venue in its own right, or as an alternative dining/break out area for clients who are already hiring the Barn. It is a lovely, peaceful space, conducive to resolving sensitive issues , or simply relaxing after a long meeting.
A truly beautiful place for lunch and relaxing, the Pavilion is one of the most unique corporate venues in Berkshire. It is also a perfect film shooting location.
Within the Pavilion is a seating space for 10, a snug area, loo, kitchen and a beautifully lined marquee which extends the seating to 36. Additional dining is available alfresco for 10.

The Dining Room is situated in the main house, and is an elegant room at the best of times. When decorated for an occasion, however, it becomes nothing short of exquisite.
This room is suited to formal black-tie dinners for up to 16 people or a historical film set location. It is only available as a corporate venue, and we envisage great appeal for ‘with-partners’ events.
Drinks before-hand will be accommodated either in the Drawing room next door, or in the Front Hall, which offers a little more standing room.

The Perfect Setting for a Marquee
This picturesque piece of land is an ideal corporate event space.
It is flanked by a grand avenue of mature oak trees and contains four 250 year old Cedars of Lebanon. To the south it slopes gently away allowing for a beautiful view of the downs. To the north one looks towards the main façade of the house. With this sensational back-drop, there is plenty of room to create your own event personalised to your company.
There are two obvious locations for a large marquee or frame tent, one along the front edge of the field, looking directly at the house, the other following the line of the oak tree avenue facing the countryside. The map on this page shows the marquee site quite clearly as well as the designated 250 car parking plot 100m away.
